Discover Hamburg with kids - Westin Family Program

Take a journey of discovery with the Westin Family Programme. Miniatur Wunderland, probably the largest model railway in the world, begins almost right in front of the hotel, with more than 15 km of tracks and 900 trains with 12000 waggons that travel through lovingly-crafted landscapes. Follow the fire brigade on a mission and witness UFO landings. Each day here lasts 15 minutes, then it gets dark and the wonderland becomes a twinkling, glowing sea of lights.

Animal lovers can learn about 1860 different species at close quarters at the Tierpark Hagenbeck. Experience one of Europe’s largest elephant herds and feed giraffes, let your children explore the Arctic Ocean or stroke one of the free-roaming animals.

Hamburg Dungeon

The Hamburg Dungeon is great fun for kids of all ages. Here the eerily funny actors recreate Hamburg’s dark past, frightening their audience with the torture chamber, the plague hospital and the elevator of horror.
